TAMAGOTCHI EP by CPU/cake

A tamagotchi is a tiny digital pet that hatches from the love and care you put into it. Depending on the attention you give it, it might grow up to be a cute dog or a sickly plant, in a loop of limited combinations. Who can fail to love them? And the endearing anticipation that precludes their final evolution?

This EP celebrates all of that.

Each track in this collection was created between 2022 and 2025 with the same tools: a Game Boy DMG-01 and one single LSDJ cartridge. The outcome, however, changes just like the tamagotchi’s lifecycle.

Some of them have already been released, some of them – only played at shows – have now been released in hope that you’ll enjoy them as much as I did raising -ahem- composing them.
